Born in Dallas, TX, Jeremy started life as an exploitative child from a creative family full of self-expression. In High School, he engaged in the arts, and in his college years, he found visual art to be a great coping mechanism for depression. Creating the foundation to share his message and knowledge as a public speaker and visual artist. An accomplished entrepreneur Jeremy has found his niche in public engagement. With his company Jeremy A Teel Creative, he serves as director.
A dynamic photographer and stylist, his work is showcased nationally and in magazines, shows, and competitions. Jeremy's latest venture with JATC has been sexual health engagement for public-facing healthcare systems. Teaching organizations and state departments the art of engaging with those they want to serve in workshops, blog posts, and webinars. In his vast network of professionals and stakeholders, he has been a part of Texas's sexual health revolution, curating a "who's who" of thought leaders and innovative individuals.
One of his superpowers is creating networks and systems to keep them engaged with one another. The collective work has contributed to higher PrEP uptake among MSM in Texas and school sexual health workshops for grades 6-8. Now on staff at Kind Clinic Austin, he serves as Community Engagement Coordinator and is charged with the engagement of his Black MSM communities and others adjacent to him for the education and access of PrEP, PEP, and Gendercare. Jeremy uses his varied skills learned through art, entrepreneurship, organizational leadership, and professional development to make a difference in the world.
